His Frozen Heart

Image
Title and Author: His Frozen Heart by Christie Capps Type: Pride and Prejudice Retelling Perspective: Darcy Romance Level: Chaste Recommended: 2 stars,  I liked others more. Access: I read this free through Kindle Unlimited . Summary: What was Darcy thinking when he met Elizabeth? What was it that drew her to him?  This novella skips through the events of Pride and Prejudice focusing on the major scenes between our pair using Darcy's voice. Pros: * It was fun to think through what Darcy was thinking at each point in the story. * It is a quick read. Cons: * There was not much new content here. There are lots of quotes from the original and, given how short it is, that was much of the content * The analogy of the frozen heart was all through out the book and it fell flat. I didn't see Darcy as that poetic early on. All the Austen-esque books reviewed
